A construction schedule starts before the first day of demolition. A bathroom can be ready to build only when its scope, selections, required approvals, and material availability are sufficiently clear.
The planning period
During the early phase, we discuss the room and the desired changes, define responsibilities for selections, review whether a permit is required, and plan the order of work. Specialty cabinetry, glass, or fixtures may have lead times. Ordering late can interrupt an otherwise orderly build.
The construction period
Most bathroom projects move through protection and demolition, rough plumbing and electrical as needed, inspections when required, preparation and waterproofing of wet areas, tile, cabinetry, fixtures, glass, and a final walkthrough. Each phase depends on the condition left by the prior one; some materials also require curing time.
Why the schedule can move
Hidden damage or outdated work discovered during demolition may require a decision before the room can continue. Inspection timing, a revised selection, a late delivery, or a scope change can also move the finish date. Ask your contractor how those decisions will be communicated and approved.
Our San Leandro permitted bathroom is one specific project account, not a timetable for every home. Review how we coordinate a remodel or tell us what you are planning.
